Fidelia NetVigil extends agentless monitoring to Microsoft Active Directory

Proactive monitoring of Active Directory prevents business critical slowdowns

Princeton, NJ - June 14, 2004 - Fidelia Technology extended its support for agentless monitoring to Microsoft Active Directory in its Netvigil product. Since most of the underlying applications depend on Active Directory, monitoring its performance and being able to react in time to any slowdowns is critical to maintaining the needed levels of business service within any enterprise.

NetVigil monitors the performance of Active Directory metrics such as sessions, queues, LDAP connections, authentication times and allows you to automatically setup baseline thresholds based on historical data.

The NetVigil business container technology allows correlating if the slow performance of Active Directory is due to too many active sessions or due to scarce server resources such as memory or CPU. Measured alone, neither of these metrics help determine the root-cause or the cause-effect of slow performance, but as part of Netvigil business containers, the MTTR from degraded or failed performance is very fast.

NetVigil is affordably priced for mid-tier enterprises, but scalable enough to drive its Fortune 500 customers to switch to it. Licenses for NetVigil start at $45,000, with an average selling price of approximately $80,000. To date, Fidelia has filed for several patents for NetVigil components.
