Fidelia adds VoIP monitoring using Cisco SAA

Report and alert on real-time VoIP metrics across Cisco networks.

Princeton, NJ - Oct 13, 2004 - Fidelia Technology, the leader in Instant Business Visibility software, added support for monitoring key Voice over IP (VoIP) metrics using Cisco Service Assurance Agents (SAA) via its NetVigil monitoring software. Most of Cisco's line of routers running IOS support SAA monitoring of jitter and latency.

Inter-packet delay variance (or jitter) is a critical metric for running Voice over IP. NetVigil can track jitter, round trip response time, connect time and packet loss all of which are key metrics for VoIP networks. NetVigil can generate alerts when these metrics exceed preset thresholds, and store the metrics for long term performance monitoring and report on trend analysis and days to hit thresholds. This proactive monitoring is essential to running a large VoIP network.

SAA support for NetVigil is available now.

NetVigil is affordably priced for mid-tier enterprises, but scalable enough to drive its Fortune 500 customers to switch to it. Licenses for NetVigil start at $45,000, with an average selling price of approximately $80,000. To date, Fidelia has filed for several patents for NetVigil components.
