Fidelia adds agentless monitoring of Microsoft Windows servers

NetVigil to monitor large Windows environments with minimal deployment needs

Princeton, NJ, Feb 20, 2004 - Fidelia Technology, the leader in Instant Business Visibility software, added agentless monitoring of Microsoft Windows servers using native WMI to its flagship NetVigil software.

Adding WMI support for Windows in NetVigil allows monitoring of Windows environments without requiring an agent on each server. Customers do not get locked into a proprietary agent or protocol which constantly needs updating and requires costly resources to deploy and update. WMI support is built into all windows servers and it can be used to monitor critical server resources such as CPU, disk, memory, services as well as windows applications.

Fidelia's scalable architecture allows scaling to thousands of windows servers and Fidelia's unique cross-platform approach allows monitoring Windows networks while running from a Unix environment. Netvigil users can monitor routers, switches, Unix and Windows servers from a single console, allowing correlation between different elements to identify true root cause of application degradation.

The NetVigil application is affordably priced for mid-tier enterprises, but scalable for Fortune 500 organizations. The Web based user interface, ease of use and very low total cost of ownership has enabled a number of enterprises to replace their aging IT management systems with the newer generation Fidelia product. Licenses for NetVigil v3.6 start at $40,000, with an average price of approximately $80,000 to $100,000. To date, Fidelia has filed for four patents on the NetVigil intellectual property. NetVigil runs under Solaris, Linux and Windows.
