Fidelia releases Microsoft Exchange monitoring module

Agentless monitoring of Microsoft Exchange servers

Princeton, NJ - Sep 28, 2004 - Fidelia announced the release of the Microsoft Exchange module for its NetVigil management software, which monitors the performance, availability and security of Exchange 2000 and 2003 servers. Fidelia's cross platform solution allows monitoring of Exchange and other Windows applications while running NetVigil on a Unix or Linux platform, thus providing a single console for an enterprise's IT network.

NetVigil can monitor a mix of Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 servers, and report on metrics such as message traffic, sessions, queues and connections. Additionally, the integrated monitoring for Active Directory allows NetVigil to isolate the root-cause of Microsoft Exchange performance problems. NetVigil's Business Container technology allows system managers to determine if the problem is with the Exchange software, the server its running on, the Active Directory on which Exchange depends on, or the network connecting the two. This instant correlation and isolation of root cause problems is critical in today's business environments.

The NetVigil application is affordably priced for mid-tier enterprises, but scalable for Fortune 500 organizations. The Web based user interface, ease of use and very low total cost of ownership has enabled a number of enterprises to replace their aging IT management systems with the newer generation Fidelia product. Licenses for NetVigil v3.6 start at $40,000, with an average price of approximately $80,000 to $100,000. To date, Fidelia has filed for four patents on the NetVigil intellectual property. NetVigil runs under Solaris, Linux and Windows.
